Below are FAQs for our pre-designed decals for sale.


What is a vinyl decal?

A vinyl decal is a design cut out of a roll of vinyl sign material that can be placed on any hard, smooth surface. For example, car windows and body parts, boats, campers, trailers, mailboxes, laptops, mirrors, home windows, etc. (at this time we are only making permanent decals, so DO NOT put it on anything in your home where you would want to remove the vinyl from at a later date).


What color decals show up best?

White shows up best. The lighter the color the better you will be able to see the decal.


How long do the decals last?

This depends on where you put the decal. If you put a decal on a car or on something outside, it is guaranteed to last up to 5 years. But if you live in a snowy, icy region of the U.S., please be careful when scraping ice off of a car window where there is a decal, because the decal will come off right along with the ice from being scraped. If you put the decal on something inside, it will last much longer.


Will my windshield wiper or defrost affect the decals?

No, the defrost setting will not harm the decal because it doesn’t get hot enough to affect the vinyl. It would be better to try and avoid spaces on a window where the wipers go over because with constant use it could loosen the decal.


(MIRROR IMAGE?) Can I put a vinyl decal on the inside of a window?

Yes, a vinyl decal can be made to be put on the inside of a window. All our decals are cut to be placed on the outside of a window, so it is important when checking out to choose “Mirror Image” and the design will be cut backwards so it will appear correctly when you place it inside a window.


What is the best temperature to apply decals?

Vinyl decals will last in very cold temperatures, but never apply a decal when it is below 60 degrees.


How long will it take to receive my order?

All orders are shipped within 3 to 5 business days (usually sooner), but we ask that you give delivery time 7-10 days because we have no control over the postal service.


Do you ship C.O.D?

Sunset Graphics & Decals does not accept any C.O.D. orders. We accept all major credit cards. If you do not have a credit card, we do accept money orders sent through the mail with a detailed description of what the name and number of the decal you want to order is, exact size, quantity, color and if the design needs to be mirror-imaged or not (which means being cut backward to go inside a window). Also, please include a phone number you can be reached at in case we have any questions. You can get the total price with shipping costs that you would owe by going through the check out process and just not hitting the submit order button.


What color is the background?

There is no color background on a vinyl decal. All premade designs are all one color and only the design will be in the color you choose once applied.


Do you offer sizes that are not listed?

Yes, we can do custom orders. Just e-mail us at with the exact size you need. We will get back you with a quote. Please include a phone number that you can be reached at in case we have any questions.


Can I get a different color than what is listed on the color chart?

If you need a special color vinyl, please e-mail us with “Custom Order” typed in the Subject line and we will do our best to get you the color you are looking for. Our e-mail is


Can I order in bulk and get a discounted price?

Yes, we consider a bulk order to be a quantity of over 12 decals of the same design and size, but you can choose different colors to mix it up. Please submit an e-mail to us at and in the subject line type “Bulk Order”. In the e-mail tell us the design number and name, the size you need and quantity. The more you buy the bigger the discount will be. We will get back to you with a price as soon as possible.


How do I know when my order has shipped?

You will receive a confirmation e-mail stating that your order has shipped.


What do you do with customer information?

Our customer’s privacy is very important to us. We NEVER sell or share any customer information with a third party. All information provided is only used for business purposes with Sunset Graphics & Decals.


How do I cancel an order for decals?

All orders need to be cancelled by end of day on same day placed. The reason for this is we are always trying to get orders out as soon as possible to get them delivered to our customers in a timely manner and we mail orders out early morning of the next business day. We check our e-mail at the end of every business day so you would need to send an e-mail with “Cancel Order” typed in the subject line and please add your name, address, phone number and reason for cancelling and we will stop the order from going out. If order has already went out, you would need to send the decal back to us in the same condition as we sent it out and we would be happy to credit your account.


What is your return policy?

At Sunset Graphics & Decals we want all our customers to be happy with their decal purchase and will work with you any way we can to make this happen. If for some reason you are not satisfied with your order of premade decals, we offer a 100% money back guarantee. Items must be returned back in original condition and there are no questions asked. Just send us an e-mail so we can be watching for the returned shipment. When it comes to “Custom Orders”, when your order is placed it is cut exactly to your specifications, size and color. Due to this process, we cannot accept returns or refunds on any custom orders. If there is an error that occurred during manufacturing, Sunset Graphics & Decals will ship out a new order for any items that were defective. You must call us and let us know what the problem was and send photos to our e-mail so we can verify there was a problem and we can get the new items out to you in a timely manner. Without photo proof, the order will have to be returned to us and then we will fix any problems.


Do you make multi colored decals?

Yes, we make multi colored decals, but this would be considered a “Custom Order”.
